Half-day charters tend to work well for young children (or anyone who doesn't want a full day in the sun), with good opportunities at red snapper, mackerel, and triggerfish. Full-day trips open up a wider variety of species, but they can be more challenging with kids who aren't used to long days out and about. Either option can work, depending on your family.
Sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, a change of clothes, and light snacks or sandwiches rather than a big meal. Bring plenty to drink (no glass bottles), and a cooler for the ride home—ice is available at the marina.
It can happen to anyone. Avoiding a heavy breakfast, getting good rest the night before, and keeping eyes on the horizon while on board all help. Over-the-counter motion sickness medication, taken the night before, is also an option some families use. We have air conditioned spaces, bunks, and a restroom to help keep your group comfortable.
No experience is needed for anyone in your group. The crew is used to walking beginners and kids through every step, from baiting a hook to landing a fish.
If conditions aren't safe to fish, the trip will be rescheduled if possible. If it can't be rescheduled, you'll receive a full refund of any deposit.
